" r e f l e c t i o n "

"a set of abilities and skills, to indicate the taking of a critical stance, an orientation to problem solving or state of mind"
that means nothing to most people

but then...
there came a point of self-realization whereby suddenly you're hit by this 'thinge'...and you realize though you don't know exactly what it meant in 'english', the society has already walked you through it

in simpler terms, its 'trial and improvemen'
you do something wrong, you learn from your mistakes, pick up from where you went wrong until you get it right

everybody goes through this, and it seems more apparent to me now seeing as multimedia requires a lot of it
speaking from experiences so far, the 'pixelation' assignment has taken lots of trial and improvement -
if i had had more access to props i would've done my project a different way
my original idea was either somebody jumping on trampoline, making the 'legs off the ground' trick more flexible
i also had in mind the idea of having a big block of ice(or a fag, egg timer, something that represents the element of time) in the corner and having somebody doing things that were very effort-requiring, or grow old if i had had the access to complete make-up...showing how time has gone by indicated by the block of ice melting
but thats all in my mind

anyhow, reflecting on your own action is something everybody does and reminds me of being a kid

i'll end this blog by telling you what happened:

everybody does something that the parents are not happy with when young
and my mother invent such a thing called 'the reflecting hat'

a straw hat that was typically cow-boyish and frankly looked ridiculous

everytime i did something wrong, with a laughter, she'd say 'now go and sit in the corner with the reflecting hat'

i would then be left in a corner facing a wall wearing a hat like an idiot until she thinks it wasn't funny anymore

good memories
